Joel Buxton has provided comedic writing for This Hour Has 22 Minutes (CBC) and Because News (CBC Radio 1). He writes for children’s animation, including Inspector Gadget (DHX) and Cupcake & Dinosaur (eOne). He has appeared on television shows such as The Beaverton (CTV) and CMT Select (CMT), and writes for Reader’s Digest, VICE, Frank ‘N Funny Greeting Cards, and CBC Comedy.

Joel has performed stand-up comedy at festivals such as JFL42, NxNE, and Field Trip Music Festival. He is an alumni of the award-winning sketch collective The Sketchersons, and also performs sketch with The Junkyard Dukes. Their self-titled album is available on iTunes. Joel recently assistant directed the Second City mainstage’s 79th revue, Everything is Great Again.
